Westmont Magazine 5 Straight Championships and ended season ranked #1 for Women’s Basketball
The women’s basketball team, ranked No. 1 in the NAIA, was named the overall top seed for the first time in program history at the NAIA Women’s Basketball National Championship, which was canceled due to COVID-19 the following day. The women’s team, which finished 27-3, won both the Golden State Athletic Conference Regular Season and Tournament Championships, their GSAC record fifth in a row. Sophomore Iyree Jarrett of Whittier was named to the NAIA All-American First Team. Maud Ranger of Paris, France, was named to the All-American Third Team. Stefanie Berberabe of Norwalk received All-American Honorable Mention honors. Head coach Kirsten Moore was named the GSAC Women’s Basketball Coach of the Year for the sixth time. Lauren Tsuneishi, Jarrett, Ranger and Berberabe were all named to the All-GSAC Team. Kaitlin Larson, Krissy Miyahara, Ranger and Taylor Rarick were named GSAC Scholar-Athletes for obtaining at least a 3.5 GPA.
