Alumni Stories Elisabeth Morrison Meikle '07
While majoring in Kinesiology at Westmont, Elisabeth Morrison Meikle ’07 discovered her love for health science and working with people, particularly underserved populations. Her passion grew during an internship with the St. Anthony Foundation Free Medical Clinic in San Francisco where she applied her classroom knowledge in a complex urban environment. After Westmont, Elisabeth returned to the city to serve as an occupational therapist for children with developmental delays and disabilities. “I love my job because I get to think both scientifically and relationally, and am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to functional, practical change in my clients' lives and see them grow and develop over time.” Along with investing in the lives of her clients, Elisabeth appreciates the community that surrounds her in the San Francisco Bay Area —many of whom are fellow Westmont graduates.
