Biography/Details
Nicole graduated from Westmont in 2017 with B.S. degrees in Biology and Chemistry. She then completed her doctoral research at the University of Washington in Seattle, where she investigated the roles of protein post-translational modifications in cellular stress responses and how calcium signaling regulates mitochondrial metabolism. Nicole earned her Ph.D. in Pharmacology in 2024, and she has returned to Westmont to teach general biology and cellular/molecular biology courses.
