Ronald E. See, Ph.D.

Dr. See studied at the University of California, Berkeley (BA in Psychology) and the Georg August University in Germany. He completed his MA and PhD in Psychobiology at the University of California, Los Angeles. Prior to coming to Westmont in 2015, he served as a faculty member at Washington State University, Kuwait University, the Medical University of South Carolina, and the University of Tabuk in Saudi Arabia. Dr. See has been teaching, mentoring, and conducting neuroscience research over the last four decades. His research has included the study of antipsychotic drug mechanisms, experimental models of relapse to drugs of abuse, and transcranial magnetic stimulation for depression. He has published over 160 peer-reviewed articles and reviews (click here for his publication list). Dr. See has received numerous research grants and his awards include Fellow of the American College of Neuropsychopharmacology, National Institute on Drug Abuse International Scientist, Lady Davis Fellow, and a Fulbright Scholar Fellowship. Dr. See also enjoys teaching across a wide variety of topics in neuroscience and psychology and he has mentored and trained hundreds of students, postdoctoral fellows, and faculty. When he is not at Westmont College, he prefers to be hiking in the wilderness regions of California and Montana.
