Westmont Magazine Women’s Tennis Ranked No. 18 Nationally

The 18th ranked Westmont women’s tennis team (6-8, 5-1 GSAC) took two GSAC matches over the weekend of March 8-9 in Arizona, shutting out both Ottawa (Ariz.) and Arizona Christian. The Warriors finish their shortened season in second place, a half-game behind San Diego Christian. Senior Cade Pierson was the GSAC Tennis Player of the Month for February after earning the GSAC Cliff Hamlow Champion of Character Award a few days earlier. She finished her senior year 8-2 at the No. 1 singles spot. Westmont men’s tennis (2-6, 2-3 GSAC) finished its GSAC regular season with a 4-0 victory over Arizona Christian on March 9. The young team returns a nearly full squad next year with just their lone senior, Ryan Chung, graduating.
